Kennedy-King Memorial College Scholarship

The Kennedy-King Memorial College Scholarship Fund provides multiple college scholarships each year to students from groups under-represented at California’s four-year colleges and universities. Students must be planning to transfer to a four-year college or university in Fall 2024 or Spring 2025 and have financial need.

Deadline: February 22, 2024 at 5:00 pm PST

Amount: $12,000.00

Requirements:

• Belong to a minority group under-represented in the California College and University system, principally African-Americans, Americans (North, Central, or South) derived from Spanish speaking cultures, Native Americans, and Pacific Islanders;
• Have successfully completed at least 12 transferable units of course work within 12 months prior to the scholarship deadline at Diablo Valley College, Contra Costa College, or Los Medanos College;
• Be enrolled for the fall semester prior to the award (or have completed your course work within the past year) at Diablo Valley College, Contra Costa College, or Los Medanos College;
• Be eligible to transfer to a four-year college or university with junior standing (60 qualified units required) in Fall 2024, or not later than Spring 2025;
• Not currently enrolled at a four-year college and not intending to enroll at a four-year college prior to June 2024;
• Be able to provide evidence of financial need; and
• If selected as a finalist, be able to attend an interview with the Selection Committee on Saturday, March 16, 2024.
