Returning to School Scholarship (Assistance League of Diablo Valley)

The Returning to School Scholarship opportunity, sponsored by the Assistance League of Diablo Valley, is available to students returning to school after a gap in their education (usually after high school graduation), students already in college who have some gaps of a year or more in their course work, and students enrolled part time over a few years. Applicants must also be a resident of Contra Costa County, California.

Deadline: March 24, 2025

Amount: up to $4,000.00

Requirements:

• Must be a student returning to school after a gap in their education (usually after high school graduation), a student already in college who has some gaps of a year or more in their course work, or a student enrolled part time over a few years.
• High school graduate or GED recipient.
• Planning to attend or currently enrolled in an accredited community college or career technical education program/school. Applicant may also be transferring to a four-year school from a community college.
• Resident of Contra Costa County, California.
• May not be an Assistance League chapter member, the relative of a chapter member, an Assisteens® member, or an employee of Assistance League of Diablo Valley.
• Interviews for semi-finalists will be held in Walnut Creek, CA on April 25, 2025 and April 26, 2025. Applicants must be available on these dates.
