Rossmoor Foundation Scholarship

The Rossmoor Scholarship Foundation (RSF) is a volunteer organization of residents of Rossmoor, a senior community in Walnut Creek, California. Each year, the foundation awards scholarships to help outstanding local students continue their education. Transferring students with financial need, academic achievement, and noteworthy extracurricular activities or work experience are considered for these awards.

Deadline: February 20, 2024

Amount: $3,500.00 – $6,000.00

Requirements:

• Must be a graduating student at Diablo Valley College
• Must be transferring in Fall 2024 to an accredited four-year college or university or a trade school that is accredited by a federally approved accrediting agency
• Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
• Must file a FAFSA or California Dream Act Application (CADAA) and have a Student Aid Index (SAI) of no more than 32,000
• Must submit the online application and all other required documents by the deadline on February 20, 2024
• Must ask at least one current or recent academic instructor to submit an online recommendation and ensure that the recommendation is submitted by the deadline on February 20, 2024
• Students who meet all of the eligibility requirements and complete all of the application requirements by the deadline will be invited to an interview with RSF members on February 29, 2024 or March 1, 2024

In addition to applying for a $3,500 Rossmoor Scholarship, applicants may also apply for “add-on” scholarships. These awards are $2,500.00 each and may significantly increase the total scholarship amount received from RSF. Applicants may apply for one or more of these “add-on” scholarships, but they will be required to complete a separate essay for each of the scholarships.
