Alamo Women's Club Scholarship
The Alamo Women’s Club Scholarship Program was established over 80 years ago and is made possible through annual club fundraising events and community donations. The program’s focus is to award need-based scholarships to help students reach their higher education goals. The Alamo Women’s Club Scholarship opportunity is available to students currently attending a community college in Contra Costa County, members of Youth Homes, emancipated foster youth under age 26 in Contra Costa County, and public high school graduating seniors in the San Ramon Valley Unified School District or Pittsburg School District.

Amount: up to $5,000.00
Requirements:
The following criteria are considered for awarding the Alamo Women’s Club (AWC) Scholarships:
- Needs financial support to meet educational/vocational goals;
- Makes a strong commitment to continuing education either academically or vocationally;
- Completes the AWC application;
- Maintain a 2.0 GPA;
- Writes a personal essay describing why they are applying for the scholarship, what their educational/vocational goals are, and why they deserve
the scholarship; - Submits two (2) letters of recommendation on official letterhead from either school counselors, staff members, teachers or community leaders;
- Resides in Contra Costa County or attends a college in Contra Costa County;
- Completes the Photo Release Form with required signature;
- Returns the required documents by email no later than February 18, 2026.
- Previous AWC Scholarship recipients are eligible to apply.
