PEO Sisterhood, Chapter GX, Carolyn Chrisman Transferring Scholarship

PEO is a philanthropic organization where women celebrate the advancement of women and educate women through scholarships, grants and loans, motivating women to achieve their highest aspirations. Carolyn Chrisman was a member of the organization for more than 30 years. PEO is offering one scholarship in the amount of $700 (must be paid via direct deposit) to a DVC student who meets the following requirements.

Deadline: March 11, 2024

Amount: $700.00

Eligibility Requirements:

• Female DVC student who is completing at least one year
• Transferring to a four-year college or university within the next academic year
• Enrolling with at least 8 units next term
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or Legal Permanent Resident
• Minimum 3.0 GPA
• Financial need
• Community service
• Must have submitted a complete online DVC scholarship application by the February 15, 2024 deadline

Application Requirements:

1. Signed PEO Sisterhood, Chapter GX, Carolyn Chrisman Transferring Scholarship Application
2. Copy of completed DVC scholarship application
3. Unofficial DVC transcript
4. Two letters of recommendation, one of which must be from a DVC faculty member (DVC
   professor, instructor, teacher, or academic counselor). The recommendation letter cannot be from a relative.
5. Submit completed application and all required documents to the DVC Scholarship Office at scholarships@dvc.edu by the deadline of March 11, 2024.
