SME Education Foundation Scholarships

SME Education Foundation scholarship opportunities are available to students pursuing two-year, four-year or graduate degrees in manufacturing engineering, technology, or a closely related field. The SME Education Foundation offers 60+ scholarships and awards nearly $1 million each year. By submitting one application, you will be considered for every scholarship for which you are eligible. Awards range from $2,500 – $20,000. The Foundation provides merit and need-based scholarships, issues renewing and one-time awards, and seeks applications from all eligible students, including but not limited to young women and underrepresented communities.

Deadline: February 1, 2026

Amount: $2,500.00 – $20,000.00

Requirements:

• Must be a graduating high school senior or current college student
• Must be a permanent resident or citizen of the United States or Canada, or possess a student visa
• Must have a minimum 2.0 GPA
• Must be pursuing an associate, bachelor’s, or graduate degree in manufacturing engineering, technology, or another technical field that directly supports manufacturing
• Must be attending an accredited college or university in the United States or Canada
