Catalina Torres Memorial Scholarship

Catalina Torres was a vibrant and engaging employee of DVC whose life tragically ended in September 2008. Her warm smile and open heart touched the lives of countless DVC students through her work as a Math tutor, a DSS student advocate and through her focus on the Latina/Latino students in the Puente Program. Criteria include meeting ONE or more of the following: active participant with the Puente Program, emphasis in Math studies, or Social Justice major. After meeting one or more of these criteria, all students must meet the following requirements: continuing or transferring student, financial need, 2.5 GPA, community service and campus involvement.
